Four Worlds: How We Design a Givelo Jersey

Modern Classic. C.D.A. GVL Race Team. G90. Same brief, four different answers.

A jersey design at Givelo begins with a specific fabric, or with a functional solution. There's no single correct resolution and no specific way to begin — only the right one for the rider and the ride.
So instead of building one jersey and offering it in many colours, we build jerseys within our four worlds. Each one starts from a different question and follows it all the way through the fabric, the fit and the finish.

Here's what each world is actually for, and how we design inside it.

C.D.A. — where we disrupt

The question: what if we stopped accepting the conventions?

C.D.A. is our most restless world. It's where the fit gets reconsidered rather than inherited, and where we're willing to put out something the market hasn't seen.
How we design here: first we decide on a disruptive concept, we explore product design and finally apply unique fabrics. C.D.A. is where we work hardest on applying fabrics — pairing Italian and Japanese textile technology with cuts that break from the standard race template. Then we iterate fast, because we make everything ourselves and can.
This world is for the rider who wants the new thing, and wants it to be genuinely new.

G90 — the all-rounder

The question: what if you didn't have to think about what to where?

G90 is the world built for everything. Whatever the ride turns out to be, whatever the weather does halfway through, G90 handles it. It's the least specialised world on purpose, and that makes it the one most riders end up living in.
How we design here: natural textures and clean design, where everything must be abe to mix and match. Ultralight and aerodynamic underneath, without tipping into the fragility that usually comes with it.
This world is for the rider who rides so much, they don't want to think about what to where without sacrificing looking good or performance.

Modern Classic — atemporal

The question: what would James Bond wear?

Modern Classic is our most atemporal and subtle world. Everything technical is there — it just refuses to announce itself. No loud graphics. No visible engineering. The performance sits behind an unexpected minimalism, and you only discover it once you're riding.
How we design here: we start with the silhouette and take away. Premium Italian fabrics chosen as much for immediate hand-feel as for what they do at speed — a Modern Classic jersey should feel good the moment you pull it on, before it has proved anything. Colour is quiet. Detail is structural rather than decorative.
This world is for the rider who wants to look elegant, and be faster than the rider in the peloton.

GVL Race Team — adrenaline

The question: what does a jersey look like when the only thing that matters is the race?

GVL RT is our tribute to racing. It's developed with our own team, and it carries the energy of that — light, fast, and unapologetically loud where the other worlds are quiet. The design is built to feel like the thing it's made for.
How we design here: weight comes out first. High-airflow technical fabric, nothing on the garment that doesn't earn its grams, and then a design language that pushes the other way — graphics with adrenaline in them, because race kit should look like race kit.
This world is for riders who race, and riders who want to feel like they are.

What holds the four together

Different questions, different answers, one constant.
Every jersey in all four worlds is inspected by hand in our own house in Envigado, Medellín — forty minutes from climbs that top 2,500 metres. The materials come from wherever the best material genuinely is: Italian mills, Japanese mills, chosen for what they do rather than where they're from.

And whichever world you end up in, the job is identical. Take the distractions out of the way, so that when the road tilts up at hour four, the only question left is whether you've got it in you.

Comfort beyond your comfort zone.
